June Match Results

We never saw the rain, but it was a pretty hot one. Those of you who stayed home in the AC may have been the smart ones today. Four of us braved the heat and fired the first match. Only Jim and I stayed for the second. Ed and James had plans that required them to leave early. Click here for the scores.

I fired the second match from the bench. I must say, I'd rather be prone. The slow fire is OK, just like shooting prone. But, even though I did use a sling the recoil bounced me around making the rapid fire difficult. Regardless, if shooting prone is a no-go for you the bench version is almost the same.

Next month we will be shooting in the shade on range #1 at reduced distances. So the heat won't be as much of a concern. Click here for the Vintage Military 3-Gun match details.
